03 Sep **Carp Fishing Tutorials**

Iain Macmillan has started up his own carp angling tutorials for anyone that's interested in taking their angling to the next level. They will mainly be based at Linear Fisheries on Oxford but we could go to any venue within reason, and indeed he'll travel wherever necessary for the customers requirements. They will cover anything and everything in carp fishing from rigs, bait, location, tackle, floater fishing, stalking, zigs, spodding, marker tecniques, you name it and it will be covered. For any further information please either e-mail him at <!-- e --><a href="mailto:ian.macmillan4@ntlworld.com]ian.macmillan4@ntlworld.com[/url]<!-- e --> or call directly on 07746 281685, you can then discuss all personal requirements, prices, venues and dates.

Kindest Regards.

Iain 'Ting Tong' Macmillan.

03 Sep **Fresh Water**

We've now completed work on our new water system to run the toilet and shower block and have fitted an external Fresh Water Tap out side the door to the showers that can be used for filling your water containers.

03 Sep **Three Rod Limit Only**

A few days ago we announced that an angler had been sent off the site for fishing with four rods on Hunts Corner Lake. This morning another angler was told to leave for doing the same thing - again on Hunts Corner. Unfortunately he had a friend with him and because his friend was relying on the shared transport home he also had to leave. Not only did the angler spoil his own session on the water by breaking our rules but he also spoilt it for his friend. These two anglers had travelled a fair distance to fish at Linear and it gives us no pleasure to send them away but we will continue to do so as long as our rules are broken. REMEMBER IF YOU INTEND TO BREAK OUR RULES THEN YOU WILL BE SENT AWAY AND COULD SPOIL THE SPORT FOR ANYONE YOU MAY HAVE TRAVELLED WITH.

20 Jan **Rubbish Bin Trial**

For the first half of this year we will be trying out large Bins from the local council to try and counteract the number of anglers leaving rubbish in their swims when they leave. “Please use the bins now provided”.
There will be two large general rubbish and two Recycling bins situated by the shower block between Manor and St. Johns Lakes and the same again just before you turn onto the Brasenose Lakes. We would ask that you use the recycling bins responsibly and please refrain from putting any unused bait, food or human waste into the recyclable bins.
The general waste bins are completely green in colour and the recycling bins are green with a dark brown lid, they will also be marked with signage. If this trial works we may do the same up at Oxlease and Hunts later in the year, until then please use the bins mentioned above.
Thanks in advance, for your help in making this trial work and in helping keep the fishery tidy for all its anglers.

Dont go thinking that Brasenose one or two are easy waters there not. The website gives the impression that they have carp coming out all day everyday but it couldnt be further from the truth. One is smaller than two but it is still a big water, I wont give any tactics info cos everything me and my four mates tried for the 48 hours we were there didnt work. I marshalled a comp on B2 last year and the lads who didnt spod the granny out of it did better than those who did, also the longer casters picked up a few fish as well. I would set about getting some up to date inside info from your mate while he is working there, the man to ask is Chris Blunt good bloke who knows his stuff. ;)
