Canal Rigs

What rig, braid, hook would you all use for a canal?
I use a supple briad with curve shank hook on the KD rig as usually fish a pop-up just to keep it out the muck at the bottom of the canal.

never fished the canal my self but my dad does all his carp fishing on canals and rivers and swears by the chod rig.

Had been thinking that myself as only started using the chod in October and havent fished the canal since back end of last summer. Thinking its going to be one for me to try. Cheers

i would be to scared to put my rods and that set up on the cut by my moms some little toe rag would have em away while i nodded of lol so its the pole for me every time but sayin that since them idiots took the fish i guess i want be fishing it again for carp, but took my brother in law up a few weeks back and for the first time in all my life some old bloke came up to me demanding 3 quid ill be honest i nearly banjooed him there and then thinking it was a con untill i saw his id never in my life have i paid to fish the cut but hey hoo
