<t>Always searching for new ideas</t>
This section was my brain storming, I thought it would be good for us all to discuss our rigs and then detail them for the new wave of carpers as its one of them things that is hard to get your head round when you just start out or even the most avid of us still sit on the bank thinking is it right will it work etc so come on lets see them. Then we can all discuss them in detail.

Checkbook and pen......again!!!!
Got to start with the easiest then and keep it simple. All you need is a length of braid around 25cm, a hook of required size, i usually use 8, and a swivel. Tie a double over hand knot at one end of the braid. Slide hook on to braid through the eye with the hook point facing towards the loop. Pull hook down to about 2-4cm away from the loop depending how big you want it for what size bait you are using. Spin the braid around the hook from the opposite end to the loop. Go from the eye downwards 8 times then back up the hook twice. Thread the end of the braid through the eye of the hook going through from the hookpoint side, pull through until tight and you have the hair end is ready.
Next get your swivel and thread the end of the braid through one of the rings on it. While holding the swivel twist the braid around itself 8 times going up towards the hook end, thread the end of the braid through the first loop thats been created by twisting the braid and pull tight. Trim all excess braid and your ready to get your bait on.
Its the simplest rig you can make and i have caught hundreds and hundreds of carp on it and is perfect for less pressured waters and commercial fisheries where you dont have a delicate rig to bag a few carp.
Will try and find a video on youtube that will help explain it better.

KD rig.
Very much the same as the rig that Gav explains. Only difference being that when you are looping the braid down the shank of the hook, after 3 turns pull the hair away from the shank then carry on looping another 5 times. This causes the hair to sit at a different angle and back away from the hook itself. Its the ourfect rig for pop-ups, snowmans and critically balanced baits. Started using it last year and have had a good few carp in it.
