Whats your excuses for a blank?

Anyone got any?

They were spawning(if that time of year) <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->
Too many people fishing causing too many lines in the water. <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

Wind changed direction last night so i reckon its moved the fish to another part of the lake.

May use this one tomorrow. <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

I mostly blame the venue or the weather/temperature. Spawning is a good one as well. I like the lines in the water one and I used to occasionally blame my bait as well.

The carp were crusing on the surface and i was fishing on the bottom and didnt have my controller with me.

That could be a mistake as sometimes it is the angler that is to blame. Put the wrong rig or bait out and you dont catch then the angler is to blame more than the other things. Remember learn as much as you can from each days angling to help you improve and look back at what you could have done different that could have prevented a blank.

I have to say on a serious note that i do look at what i did when i blank before i decide what was to blame.
