Is leaving your marker rod in the water all day a good idea? Seen someone do it recently so every cast they already had their target. Isnt this a bad idea because this means theres an extra line going through the water to spook the carp off?
Thoughts please anyone.

Yes it need to come out after all the rods are clipped up .. there is going to be trouble if the carp runs around the line..

ive seen people using a spod as a marker for baiting with catapults and throwing sticks this way there is no extra line in the fishes way and uve gt summet to aim at with ya boilies ect.

Definatly pull them out Ben. Spooking carp and tangles from runs are problems you dont want. Clip the line and pop it in each times you baiting up. If its a spook place clip your mainline on your reel and use a marker on the horizon to cast toward. <!-- s:idea: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_idea.gif" alt="

never ever leave you marker in mate for reasons above and it gives the swans, ducks etc a marker to head to you baited spot. believe me its happened to me before, everytime put the marker out the waterfowl headed towards it knowin bait was goin in. <!-- s:evil: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_evil.gif" alt="
