At somepoint during Christmas day there will be a general tidy up and you will be busy with the black bin bags picking up wrapping paper and various packaging. Stop and have a think what you might be able to use in a fishing situation; eg the plastic gripper ties that attach labels to clothes make great boilie stops, the thickish plastic coated wire that holds toys into packaging is useful for making coils for paste fishing or if you strip the coating off it can be used in place of silicon tube on the hook for holding the hair in place. The small packets of silica gel can be thrown into your tackle box to get rid of any moisture etc. There might even be some PVA nugget packaging up for grabs. Think before you bin it, it might be useful.

Good points them pal.
Another tip is if you a scrooge like me, open all your presents carefully and try to keep each piece of wrapping paper whole so then you can use it again next year to wrap your presents and save paying to buy new paper. <!-- s:idea: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_idea.gif" alt="
" title="Idea" /><!-- s:idea: --> People will have forgotten what wrapping paper they used the year before and would have a clue.
