Strawberries

Watched Lake Escapes last night and Matt Hayes is fishing in Italy and has a go with a strawberry. The underwater footage shows the carp taking an interest and he does land one. Fluke? Or is this worth a go do you think?

Everything is worth a go mate but as JamMa says it will at Drayton because anything will catch at Drayton.
Better of trying it at a much lower stocked harder venue. How well stocked was the water that Matt Hayes was on? Best to make a judgement after knowing that.

He was on some italian lake which looked to be rammed full of carp. It looked basically like an italian british waterways venue stock wise <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> The carp were crawling up his lines, he used whole rolls on the surface for them and all sorts, they were eating like they never get fed or fished for.

Would it be a summer only bait or all year round?

Strawberry boilies are best in the summer but still work in the winter months so would say all year round bait but best in the warmer months. Dont know if everyone else agrees?
