Salt

How much salt should i put in my spod mix per kg? And is rock salt better than table salt and why?

I wouldnt put more than a teaspoon per kilo, I know fish need salt but there is no need to kick the granny out of it. To be honest once it is dissolved is there a difference between rock salt and table salt? I think not, however there might be a few chemistry geeks on here who will shoot me down in flames and give us a long winded proffesor poindexter type lecture on the difference.

Seen Danny Fairbrass pile the rock salt into his spod mixes and thought its a bit &quot;overkill&quot; with it. Does it create a cloudy cloud over the lake bed with using salt?

Ive looked on other websites under the search salt and apparently whilst it doesent form a cloud it does cause water to move in a rotating column type effect, im not sure why or even if the carp are interested but there ya go.

Is too much salt bad for the carp like it is for humans?

seen on the new thinking tackle dvd that its bad for the fish if you use too much good old danny advises to use less of it after him using about 15 kg of it in every spod mix he made on teh other dvds.MUG.

Yeah thats why i asked if its bad for them or not. Seen him PILE handfuls of rock salt into his spod mixes on DVD's and previous Thinking Tackle programmes.
