Big bed or small baits? was created by bencarp16
Mine is a big bed of bait over a small bed or single baits with bags and stringers. Think this is my main approach because of where i was fishing last year alot was Drayton and theres that many carp in there i like a big bed of bait to keep them feeding and in my swim rather than drifting off to someone elses. On another water i may only fish small PVA bags or other small baits depending on what lake it is and the population of carp in there.
Whats everyones usual approach to their fishing or does it always differ for time to time on tha bank?

All depends when where and what time of year it is really. When on somewhere thats rammed with carp like Stockton or Drayton in the warmer months then would have a method on and becasting every 20 odd minutes if not having a bite or spodding a few spods out and topping up with a few every run. Not a big bed of bait but slowly building it up. Yet winter on these venues i would fish single baits or very small pva bags of small pellets.
When fishing Nell Bridge or Napton resse have always fished over small beds of baits or single baits no matter what time of year.
Different lakes i fish require different stratagys to my approach and what i have confidence in.

Would i be right in assuming that different lakes respond differently to different baiting stratagies then?

cold weather, very small, very bright, very good smell, and pva the size of 10 pence pieces.
warmer times, larger beds, and more bait to get them moving around more...
