try drayton or stockton res mate both easy waters to get a few bends in the rods

Welcome to the site.

Agreed with Adam_v Drayton Resse in Daventry or Stockton Resse are great lakes for beginner and overfilled with carp. Threads on here with a few tips and tactics and latest news on there.
Grendon Quarter Pool at Castle Ashby Fisheries could also be worth a go for a few bends in the rod for a beginner. ;)

Worth a look through that site to for a few ideas but alot of it is very old and needs updating really.
