Fishing the River soar at Kegworth

Cheers mate, We chucked in him after we put it back, he didnt stop talking about it all night he was well buzzing.....

Had a session tonight and got 2 barbel first was 8lb and second was 11lb2oz
second double of the season....

Bagged a new P.B. barbel tonight 12lb10oz had a 13lb8oz linear then pulled out a crayfish and had a 5lb bream another great session......

Had another tonight at 10lb3oz, also hooked another at about 6lb but a huge pike grabbed it side on i had the both on for a couple of minutes but the hooked pulled and the pike won, a few minutes later and the pike hit the surface with barbel still in its mouth real crazy stuff.

Had a blast at Ratcliffe-on-soar last night on the deeps looking for carp but blanked still got to have em when your learning a new place think it might be a while before i bag one from there.....

Had a go today for a couple of hours and had a 6lb8oz barbel within five minutes of chucking out, hour later i packed up and headed down the river, i just thought i would have a look at a little shallow bay full of weed and there was a common about the 12 mark sat there, i waited for the carp to move out the bay so i could stick a bait in there. I got a bait out and 20 minutes later it showed up again unlucky for me the carp spooked on something as it was approching my bait and steamed out of the bay with a big bow wave gutted i will get him next time.....

Had another go at Ratcliffe-on-soar last night ended up moving 4 times and still no joy.....

Quick session on the Soar at Kegworth turned up 2 barbel first 6lb10oz and second 9lb12oz.........

Nice one mate, your still banging them out, keep it up.

Got the Kegworth strech sorted just trying to crack the Ratcliffe-on-soar strech......
