in the winter months when night fishing. I wear boots and 2 pairs of thick socks but when i get in my bivvy in the evening my feet get cold. Any ideas? Are there a pair of ultra warm socks that i havent heard about? Any ideas

hot water bottle at the bottom of the bag.....
i remove the liners from the skee tex boots when things get bad, but have been looking in to fur lined slippers for the bivvy!!!
hiking socks seem to be good for me, only ever wear one pair.

Have a couple of spare pairs of socks to go to sleep in when get in the bivvy. No matter how cold it is your feet will still sweat in boots or shoesso when you take them off the feet are moist so get cold easier. When you re-tire to the bivvy for the night then change socks and feet will be warmer.
Ultimate battle plan is boil the kettle and fill up a hot water bottle about half hour before bed, put in sleeping bag where feet will be and when you get in it instrantly warm feet. :D

Checkbook and pen......again!!!!

Slippers are a great idea but not really wearable in the bivvy but my shoes are always off at the door so dont get mud in there. Got some slippers i have for home but they are old thin and not really for outside use. :(

Found some really good ones, which are hard based!!!! so will try them out, but would say having a mat to stand would be best,
but still say a hot water bottle is easier, and far less likely to cause you grief on the bank side...
