Did a quick session on the river soar in kegworth tonight was after a carp but ended up with 2 chub, not complaining. http://riversoar.jimdo.com/latest-catch/ for pics

Both chub caught on boilie topped with mazie.
The boilies are homemade by myself so very cheap compared to the shops!!!!!!!!!
Little bit heavy set-up for chub so have to be careful playing them dont want to cause any damage.
Going again in the morning sometime to fish my other baited spot hope to have some more results.

Just got back from down the river lost 2 fish and got a chub.
The second fish i lost was a good one put a right bend in the rod so not a chub.
Again fishing on my boilies produced runs...........

Had a couple of hours on the soar tonight did not get anything but a chap on the other side had a pound and half zander while i was there.

There was a lot of boat traffic friday and saturday this week due to the mild weather and a bit of sun on the soar, it was more like summer maybe thats a sign of spring will have to put that in the spring topic.....
