Hit the part frozen Lias from 10.30 til 4 today from peg 56. 2 other anglers fishing including one around peg 43 where i was planning on going. He went home at 2 so after not even a liner i hit a string right ti the back of the far Island near the boards and 10 minutes later had a run from a 4lb mirror pastie. Just as i was packing up managed another on the same rod of around 2lb. Other 2 blokes didnt catch so cant complain in frezzing conditions.

After planning to go to Ahyno then hearing no carp have come out yet and the snow i hit the Lias yesterday. After not even a bite from peg 41 i foul hooked a carp when reeling in i decided the carp werent on the bottom. changed to a zig rig then had 5 runs in 2 hours after casting to where i had foul hooked the carp resulting in 3 carp of 4lb, 8lb and 10lb 8oz, all mirrors.

Hit the Lias for a short 4 hour session from peg 57. Had 3 runs, hook pulled twice then landed a 12 lb mirror. Taken off the bottom at about 40 yards
