Went up the Brickyard again for a few hours yesterday with a mate and bagged 7 carp upto 6 and a 1/2 off the top on bread and mate had about 5 biggest going 7lb and 8lb 2oz. Met him after work today and fished another couple of hours bagging 3 but trying to have the grassie out the bottom pool but after 2 loaves of bread spooked it so called it a day.

Having done possibly my last ever session at Dog Lane last thursday and having 2 sturgeon around 7lb and 2 carp around 8lb fished the brickyard for 3 hours on the top in very windy conditions but had 2 roach and a 3lb and 8lb common from the bottom pool as well as losing 3 others.
Bloddy barbless hooks

Took a mate down Drayton Resse today as he new to carping and so he could have a few in a day quite easily...or so i fought
Fished peg 100 and water is down a hell of a lot but not as much as recently according to baliff as they have let it down to do repair work to some of the pegs. Didnt have a bite between 10am and 3pm between us. Then i had a run and within 5 seconds hook had pulled. No one was catching near us but on other side of the lake we could see a few lads bagging them from next to the sailing club. We moved round to peg 87. By then most people round there had gone. My mate gave up about 5 with only a couple of people round that side of the lake catching the odd carp. I hung on and at 6 lost another. In the next half hour i had a 12lb 4oz and a 10lb 2oz mirrors with battered mouths. Called it a day after that. Only been once before and it was easy and from water people on here say its easy Baliff reckond reason for it fishing bad today was because of the sharp drop in temperature last night.
Im not the greatest angler in the world but i know enough to bag a few carp so its not always as easy as everyone thinks down there
