Not Carp talk here but been talking to my neighbours dad earlier today and he fishes here alot and tells me the Tench are proving hard to catch at the moment. He is bagging alot of Bream including a 13lb 8oz specimen last week. <!-- s:o --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_surprised.gif" alt="
" title="Surprised" /><!-- s:o --> If theres 1 that big in there then there has to be quite a few.
Also 2 Sturgeon have been put in there around the 10lb mark. 1 has come out but in such an expanse of water they will be hard to locate.

Chatted to my neighbours old man again today. He tells me that a Sturgeon has been out in the last few weeks, a low double. Also i got some info on the small recently dug out pool next to the car park has been stocked with Golden Orfe and Ghosties, only upto around 2-3lb biggest but never caught an orfe so may have a go soon.

never fished it.. but if i could give advise that would be to find them. find a place on the reservoir where you can view the lake and watch for fish showing and move onto the area also keep mobile..tight lines..

Extremely weedy mate and full of tench. Best bet would be to get up there as often as possible while the weather is still good and look for signs of and the Carp. Had only 1 Carp at 20lb out and hundreds of Tench. Best bet is to prebait with tons of particles as any weed will be cleared by morning or use a rake. Bit of advise on pre-baiting is do it just after dark when the Swans and Tufties are roosting otherwise they will batter your bait.

They have when i have fished it mate and pop-up and chods they will take to.
Get the Tench feeding in the right area and the Carp will come and investigate.
