I floater fish it during the summer in the evenings after most people have gone and like i said before in 2 to 3 hours you can have a dozen fish which you normally find you will get 1 or 2 that are around 17lb to 18lb ,i have personally never had a twenty from there but my son had one 19lb 14oz and i have seen quite alot caught from other people about 24lb is the biggest i`ve seen but have heard rumours of larger , also if you going around 6 ish you can get away without paying most times :D :D

lol hope the baliff dont see that or that might change.
Is the water clear enough to see the carp there? This could be the way to pick out the bigger fish.

waters manky has that green algae in there, also there must be that many fish in there id say you would be spoilt for choice of you could see them.if the average at the min is double figures the amount of bait that goes in there and the expanse of water that it is the fish will only get bigger wont be long before 20lbers are coming out of there regular.

Bigger hookbaits being the best chance to pick out the bigger fish then? No real areas where your more likely to get into them?

20mm boilie approach for bottom baits going to be my approach on there and a trip in March when weather gets a bit better to give it ago.
Thanks for the responses. ;)

i fished earlswood a few times last year and you always catch use a method feeder with 2mm pellets soak them the night before so they will grip ur feeder and have a small hook length with a size 10mm boilie dont use anythink bigger as they dont take it.as for the bigger ones i have yet to see any bigger then 13lb come out. having said that i have been told there in there an i would belive it as its such a big lake.

went for a look here today with my mate as a potential place for a bend in the rod this season. like the look of it, not heaving considering its sunday. quite impressed. talked to a couple of anglers and they think average size is around 10 but carp not in the best condition. going to give it a go in the coming weeks.

Just recieved an interesting pm from another forum suggesting that if i fish Drayton then maybe i should try here. Info he told me was he went on monday and the low water situation is just as bad as Drayton. He says its no sport dragging double figure carp in along the bottom from 10-15 yards out as they have got no where to run plus its cruel. Having never fished here before i dont know what state the carp are in but if they are in good condition it wont take long for them to be as battered as the Drayton carp.
Anyone been up recently and care to verify any of this?

Checkbook and pen......again!!!!
